Muscatine E-Day 2016

The 5th Annual Muscatine Entrepreneur Expo
returns to the Muscatine History & Industry Center
on Tuesday, May 3rd.

Mike & Diane Furlong, founders of Arden Creek Vinyards & Winery, will be the morning's featured entrepreneur guests for an intimate conversation with Muscatine Community College and area High School students studying what it takes to grow a startup business.

Students will explore small business marketing and the entrepreneurial roots of Muscatine while touring the Muscatine History & Industry Center.  At noon, students will be treated to lunch by local entrepreneur Sal Vitale's Pizzeria.  Vitale has been an E-Day favorite speaking to students about his various restaurant startup throughout the area.

Open to the public, the afternoon session will feature MCC student entrepreneurs during the Startup Challenge & Speed Round Pitch Off.  Student and community attendees have the opportunity to hear business idea pitches from 10 MCC students looking to launch their businesses ideas soon.  Attendees will vote on the three best pitches with those three entrepreneurs competing for startup bragging rights in the Startup Challenge Finals.

The Startup Challenge is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and FREE to attend.
